Payment processor manage authorisation for your transaction real time by contacting your bank or service provider or acquirer.

There should not be any delay due to change in payment processor as every system works realtime fashion; provided changing processor is supported by your card or bank account. There might be difference in time taken due to difference in system used by processor.

For credit and refund transactions; time taken depends on settlement method whether it is daily or in 2 days etc; accordingly you should get actual amounts transferred.
