HYIP Dictionary

Account Balance - The balance of one's current account inside a program (HYIP or other). These funds can be used to withdraw or to invest into program's Investment Plans.

Auto-Payment - The system payment feature which processes the withdrawals automatically when needed without request.

Compounding - Also known as "compound interest" - is a simple concept that offers astounding results: if you park your money in an investment with a given return, and then reinvest those earnings as you receive them, your investment grows exponentially over time. With simple interest, you earn interest only on the principal (that is, the amount you initially invested); with compounding, you earn interest on the principal and additionally earn interest on the interest. Many HYIPs offer compounding in order give members incentives to keep their funds in the program. Compounding can be extraordinarily benefitial, however it is not always suggested in the HYIP arena. A good formula for compund interest is: FV = P(1 + r)^n; where FV= future value, P = initial investment, r = rate of return; and n = number of terms.
