Can I win this Paypal dispute?

I sell on ebay as a hobby and have 100% feedback. I recently sold an item now this person says he never received it. I didn't send it recorded delivery just standard post. The person didn't request recorded. The resolve button offers you refund, supply recorded post number or refund already given. This looks like to me I cant win the case. I do have a proof of postage label can this be used.

you can try. remember though, that alot can happen with a package... theres got to be somekind of percentage of one that just doens't make it... hopefully the item wasn't too costly and out of good sound character you can just either send them a new one or reimburse them... but i wouldn't sell to them anymore... this will help your buyer feedback... that is the very most important thing...so i would eat it if it doesn't cost to much

I don't know the value.

Obviously Fedex and UPS have better tracking and proof-of-delivery systems.

Actually you have a chance. One of the options when completing the Paypal payment is for the BUYER to purchase a form of insurance. If he paid for Paypal insurance, he should be able to submit a claim to Paypal. If he didn't, it should be clear that he did have a choice and did decline the additional protection.

eBay has a dispute resolution / arbitration service. It's sort of bogus but once in awhile it might help you out.

G'luck,

Use the proof of postage, just a heads up though, Paypal is a big scam artist, they steal money from everybody they can, unfortunately there is no other way to making transactions on ebay. You will most likely lose.

If you have proof of purchase, you should be able to claim from the post office or whoever you sent it with.
