can Interac* Email Money Transfer be used like Paypal?

I'm with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and I am wanting to bid on ebay, but can Interac* Email Money Transfer be used as a form of payment like Paypal?

If not, does anyone know how Interac* Email Money Transfer works?
