can I use Paypal on ebay without adding a bank account?

Hi,

I have just opened a paypal account (as Ebay requires) to sell some of my old things .My question is can I receive payment into Paypal and use that money to purchase things on ebay without adding a bank account (or any type of account)because I dont really like the idea of giving them my the bank details.
