Can Investing In Stocks And Shares Only Be Undertaken Via Stock Brokers???
I was told that we can do it ourselves and that we don't need to go to a stockbroker.
I am from London UK

Buy into fund mangers, who manage your investment. They sell you units and invest your money where they think appropriate. You could invest all over the world. Two good sites for you to begin are citywire.co.uk for research purposes. fundsnet.co.uk for investment purposes.

You can do this yourself through an on-line broker.
There are at least 8 I can think of. You have to find out which one is going to provide the kind of research and service you need. I KNOW if I listed them, it would be considered SPAM. Go to yahoofinance.com OR do a search on ask.com or other search engine. BE CAREFUL which one you choose. Thanks for asking your Q! I enjoyed answering it! VTY, Ron Beue Yes, that is my real last name!

You can go through a bank -though ultimately I believe they use a stockbroker too.
Also try a share shop -but Im not sure if these still exist (I never noticed any near me, but I live in the North!!)
