Is there a very large stock pot on the market that has a copper bottom?
What's the largest made? And is there one in my price range of $30 to $50? What is the best brand?

Heavier the better & quality. Make sure the bottom is thick and heavy, I feel it's better than copper but I'm not an expert & don't have any copper. I know its pretty but I more about performance. Remember you get what you pay for and this is a vessel that is suppose to last a lifetime and probably be passed down for generations. Mine was $70. about 10 years ago. I have 4 pieces now and I don't see much ware at all. Salt will pit the surface if you leave stuff in there.
Here is a list of 12 best, click on each one to get the prices. http://housewares.about.com/od/cookware/tp/stkptstpics_RO.htm
