Any financial website show charts or tables for a stock's ROI?
In order to best compare an investment between two different companies, it makes sense to reinvest all dividends so that you never have a cash position. Does any web site show a company's performance in terms of ROI, as if all dividends were reinvested into their stock?
I don't think the Marketwatch and Scottrade sites do it. They show when and how much of a dividend is paid, but they don't show the value of your investment over time if you had reinvested the dividends. For example, a stock with a 10% yield whose price never went up or down would chart as a straight line. However, if we made a new chart of value of investment over time and reinvested those dividends, this new chart would look exponential and double, with the value doubling about every 14 years. Can you show me where to find a chart like this for a stock like msft, for example?
