New stock prices are text, not numbers?

Daily stock prices used to be posted as numbers you could copy and paste into a spreadsheet. Now they include spaces in front and behind the price, making them useless in a spreadsheet unless you go in and manually remove them first. The values also are offset 1 row when they are pasted, requiring yet another new step to fix.
