Want to switch career to be a trader or stock broker?
I work in I.T. for 5 1/2 years, and I'm 27 years old. I want to change my career to be a trader or a stock broker. Can someone please tell me what kind of things that I need to do to land me a job in his field? If you have no trading experience, how do you get hired by investment companies?

Several of the leading investment houses had training programs in basic investment strategies, contacting via cold calls, as well as an exam which one had to pass in order to become a broker. Find out what is required . Call a few firms. Watch out for Met and Pru. Their training will be insurance sales oriented.

Myself, I trade stocks from home (yes, really), using the program called "Marl"...it's a stock trading robot (yes, really..don't laugh). Using an initial investment of $1000 I made about $350.00 a week with it..usually while i'm sleeping which is rather nice too. Now that I've made money, I've invested alot more...and lets just say, the money is nice. ![]() Anyways, if you do want to check it out, There is an article here: http://www.squidoo.com/Stock-Trading-For-Dummies I hope this helps Jeff
