If "W" were in charge of the Bush family finances, would they still be wealthy?

Marvin 4 years ago I voted Libertarian.

Just like I did 8 years ago.

You're not seriously suggesting that Gore or Kerry would have kept the purse strings tighter?

I live in Mass. I know John Kerry well enough to know that he'd have spent even more - just on his union chief buddies instead of his corporate buddies.

Bush is not the bad guy of all of this. The country was doing fine his first round. But in 06 when the Dems took over the government is when things went to hell in a hand basket. Put the blame where it belongs.

Good one! but remember the Bush fortune is built in tax dollars, through subsidies and contracting to government, such as No child left behind, feeding his brothers company, Ignite or what ever it is, that sells testing prep for no child tests. and security companies for
Marvin Bush, and Daddy Bush at Carlyle Group.

Good question! Funny how someone who gets campaign contributions from the rich and most of the votes from the poor on the pretense that he will protect the latter from the former. Time and Newsweek mags, both said Reaganomics worked, only Clinton took all the credit for it. The Bush family made the effort to achieve the American dream. Class warfare is the epitome of liberals, those especially whom some how expect wealth to be handed to them. The Bush family built it from the ground up, yes on oil. But do ya think for once if not for them, somebody else would have. We , the users of such a commodity and millions of others, make people financially better than the average Joe. The real dream is that Govt. will ever be run like a business.

Where were you 4 years ago when that question needed to be asked?

Excellent point.
