I want to open a savings account???????????
If I open a savings account under MY NAME ONLY and if my spouse has a direct deposit from his employer can he use my account to have direct deposit ? Would there be a problem? like money not going through because his name is not under my account?
My husband is offshore and he has his valid Id, and I have the expired ID and his job requires a bank account to have his check direct deposited to the account so I need to open an account under my name I called to see if I can open it under both of our names and even if i use his expired ID and they said no so that why I ask if I open it under my name only and he uses my account to have his check direct deposited would there be a problem if he aint under my account?

The money would not get deposited to your account because your husband's name is not on the account. For security purposes, the recipient's name must be on the account. Either put his name on the account or have him open an account & internally transfer the money to yours. Most banks will set up the accounts so that once his money is there, they will automatically transfer a pre-set number of dollars to yours.

Check with the banks or S and L's or credit unions--probably have to be in his name too for direct deposit. Maybe have a checking in both names and have a savings in yours only that you can transfer money into.

He cant direct deposit into an account that is not in his name. The only way this could work is if he receives the checks, and signs them over to you then you can deposit them.
