Can i open a joint savings account with my Father?
If possible, Do you think it is a good idea?
We have 2 different checking accounts. We would like to keep those separate. The savings account is at a different bank, with a higher % yield. I am about to start college, and most of the money in the account will be used to help get an apartment or condo after college.

Joint accounts can be opened and shared by any consenting parties. It's not like you have to be married or anything. Either of you will be able to make deposits, but both signatures are required to make a withdrawal.
