what is the max i should finance on a car with a 49k a year salary?

how much would you be willing to spend? (at the most)

i've been able to pay a 23k car loan in 3 years in the past.. but the car i'm looking for this time around might cost a few more bucks
30 years old
single / no kids / no debt / low rent
110k in retirement funds / 6 months emergency fund
+700 credit score
45k pre-approved at my credit union for 6.5 % apr
