Why do people that believe in an imminent rapture have trusts, wills, and...

...retirement plans? They must have some doubt about how soon the world will end if they are planning for their futures.

Because their faith is not that strong at all, Jesus said that people with faith the size of a mustard seed could do even greater miracles than he did (it's in the Bible) do you see any of them do miracles like that? (walking on water, feeding thousands with a few fish, healing the blind). No, of course not, because their faith is so little.

Because it is always smart to have a "Plan B".

I'm not privy to God's timeline.

The rapture could take place before or after your physical death. It is wise to prepare for a possible earthly future by having the things you listed in your question. It is wise to prepare for a future after the rapture by solidifying your religious beliefs.

They still feel responsibility for the people they believe will be left behind, so they make wills for that reason.

Being as no one knows the day, hour, or year of the rapture, it is a smart thing to do.

I don't, but many have "Plan B" in place in case the Lord tarries.

Self-doubt. Why would they be important enough to be raptured? More important than, say, the generation that fought WWII?
