I think it's a good time if you can afford to. the last thing we need is people getting loans they can't afford and then struggling to pay their mortgage and then blaming the president because they are living above their means.

Depending on where you live you may very well be at the bottom of the market. That makes it great to buy. Home prices have dropped so much that it is the best time to buy now before prices start going up again. Interest are still low but not for long either. Buy now.
