Can I sell my share of "publicly owned" property since I don't want it?
How much do you think it would fetch on eBay? Does this put the lie to the "publicly owned" bovine-feces? Isn't "publicly owned" just bureaucratic code for "owned by corrupt politicians?"
Infernal: So why can't I sell "my share"? wiemercats: And is my car not in my "trust and stewardship?"

No.
Publicly owned means it's owned by *everyone* (citizens), therefore one person cannot make the decision to sell for everyone. The Constitution places the power into the hands of federal/state legislators to make decisions for the whole, since it would impossible to get a consensus from the entire population every time a decision has to be made. You may not like the government or politicians, but they're necessary for a nation to function. Since a utopia will never exist, some corruption is inevitable.
