I want to bid on a short sale - property has been on the market since 10/07

& is selling for 239,000.? Since so much time has passed I'm considering putting in a bit of 190,000 to 200,000. Do you think a lender might consider that low of a bid considering that so much time has passed since the property was put on the market

yea even short sales are negotiable just like regular homes for sale
it depends on the current market and the banks motivation
just make an offer and see how motivated the bank is based on their counter
