Really, does anyone believe the housing market situation was an "accident"?

Seems like a lot of coincidence to happen to get where we are today- offer loans at ultra low rates to anyone. Raise the interest rates on them. Watch the foreclosures fly and then, THEN offer a government bailout at the taxpayers expense.

keep in mind, NOTHING happens in politics by accident.

seems like a smart way to break the taxpayers even more. And if you are some kind of republican supporter, and make less than $400 or $500 thousand a year....get ready to join the middle to lower class.

it is NOT by accident.

gee thanks Bush

to this i will add: oil prices. Another way to break the American taxpayer. If you really believe that these are on accident, then you are fooling yourself.

You really believe that gas went from $2.00 per gallon to almost $5.00 per gallon by accident?

and what's worse- Bush just sat idly by. And I know you will suggest Bush can't do anything about oil as he is just one guy, and yet simultaneously you will offer that McCain can fix oil prices? LOL silly fool.

Man, I wish I could 'thumbs down' questions.

I'm so sick of people blaming the government for their houses going into foreclosure.

How about people living way beyond their means, while trying to 'keep up with the Jones' & then expecting the government to bail them out. I'm sorry that a house is in foreclosure - but how about cutting back on expenditures that are not necessary (cable, internet, etc), or buying a house that isn't 6 times your income.
